Man says home is in horrible condition to live in

WESLACO - A Weslaco family is still living in the aftermath of Hurricane Dolly. They live in such bad conditions that they called NEWSCHANNEL 5 for help.

When Guadalupe Martinez called, he was in tears and at wit's end. He tells us he's looking for a good Samaritan.

Martinez lives with his children and grandchildren. And even though Hurricane Dolly hit five months ago, the impact still lives on with the Martinez family.

He has stripped some of the walls in his home that are full of mold. Martinez says the floor could give at any time. Water damaged paneling, mold spots on the ceiling, sheetrock destroyed and much more are all apparent when walking through his home.

Martinez says he and his family have nowhere else to go.

Martinez called FEMA, but he was so frustrated with the process and confused that he never called back, but now he regrets not filing an application.
